With nationally recognized programs in multiple states, NHS offers a full range of integrated services to children and adults in the areas of Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Juvenile Justice, Autism, Treatment Foster Care, Addictive Diseases, Education, Eldercare, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
NHS Human Services is seeking a director for its clinic-based operations in Delaware County. This senior administrative position will oversee outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health services for adults and children. The NHS Delaware County outpatient clinic, located in Sharon Hill, PA, is the largest one of its kind in Pennsylvania, with a census of approximately 4,000 to 5,000 consumers and an annual budget of over $ 4 million.
Clinical and administrative management of the NHS Delaware County clinic-based programs with on-call availability. These programs include: Outpatient clinics (child and adult), Intensive Outpatient programs (child and adult), Administrative Case Management program (child and adult), Business Office and Medical Records related to programs.
In conjunction with the Executive director responsible for the financial status (i.e., profit and loss) of each program.
Ensure adherence and compliance to program best practices, NHS practices and outside agency guidelines.
Ensure compliance to local, state, federal and other contract requirements as well as requirements from payors.
Provide direct supervision to clinical directors regarding programs’ clinical and fiscal performance.
Attain established financial goals for each program.
Implement program procedures and practices that incorporate sound clinical practices and comply with laws, regulations and prevailing standards of care.
Interface with clinical staff, consumers and consumers’ families, other programs and outside agencies.
Provide clinical leadership in development, delivery and expansion of service modalities that incorporate the most
effective treatment standards, policies and procedures.
Collect and interpret statistical information to monitor program trends and performance.
Facilitate, participate in and review ongoing assessment, evaluation and planning of programs.
Provide ongoing administrative and clinical program direction in development, program evaluation and program planning.
Identify opportunities for growth, development and improvement within programs and between other service lines that enhance the coordination of service delivery and the continuity of care.
Maintain knowledge of recent development in related human services field
Participate in CQI efforts
Attend all required meetings inside and outside the agency
Resolve conflicts and problems within the program and with external stakeholders
Work with HR department concerning employee hiring, discipline and discharge
Perform other duties as required and pertinent to the mission of NHS Human Services
Job Requirements :
Min. Master’s degree; license desirable but not required;
Min. 5 years plus of management experience overseeing behavioral health services, including fiscal and business operations; and excellent communication skills.
The Clinic Based Services Director reports to the Executive Director of NHS Delaware County.
