Position Summary:Assist the Program Director and Behavioral Health Specialist in program planning and implementation in the 8 COSA funded senior centers throughout Delaware County. Facilitate Behavioral Health groups for older adults in senior centers located in Delaware County. Also assist with training of current & potential volunteers. Requires occasional collaboration with the senior center directors.
Facilitate groups along with program volunteers at least 2- 4 times per month in senior centers located in Delaware County.
Meet with Program Director & Behavioral Health Specialist on a monthly basis (or more frequently as needed) to review program status and emerging issues.
Participate in the training of new and current volunteers.
Work with senior center staff around scheduling of groups.
Participate in bi-annual recognition luncheons for volunteers.
Processing of paperwork relating to program events such as attendance sheets for groups and volunteer trainings, etc.
Work within the ethical standards of the counseling profession.
Attend trainings, workshops, internal & external meetings as identified appropriate for the position.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements :
Master’s level therapist with have a minimum of a graduate degree in a human services field of study and one year of experience in the field of geriatrics
Bachelor’s level professional with a minimum of 2 years experience in Behavioral Health and geriatrics and facilitating groups.
Schedule: 5 hours per week
Rate: $25 per hour
